Reenactment of "Bloody Sunday"
From Selma to Montgomery Alabama March
Every year this time on the first sunday in the month of march , a reenactment of the march from Selma to Montgomery is held, people from all over meet up in Selma Alabama to do a Bloody Sunday reenactment by marching together from Selma across the Edmund pettus Bridge to Montgomery County.
There will be lots of food venders! festivities! great speakers! and a pure spiritual sense of what it was like for the SCLC members and freedom fighters who met with total violence, and police brutality at the foot of the bridge, as police officers used canine dogs, billy sticks, bull whips, and horses to attack and beat the non-violent marchers who were marching for our right to vote!
